Unfortunately, in reality it is much more crowded than you would expect from this picture ... at least in summer.

When conditions are like this, it's not easy to catch waves. If you are too close to the rock, then you will end up (head first) in the sandbar. If you are too far away, you wont catch the wave .. and there is only a small section in between where you can catch the wave "safely" ...
